It’s June, which means it’s allegedly summer in the UK, so it’s time to start thinking about your gin and vodka cocktails.

To help you get into the spirit (sorry) we’ve selected 10 vodka and gin cocktails for you to enjoy.

Gin & mint

For a refreshing summer drink with real elegance, try the Gin & Mint.

Ingredients:

50ml NB Gin

2 sprigs of fresh mint

Slice of fresh cucumber, quartered

100ml elderflower, chilled

Mint sprig to garnish

Ramos Gin Fizz

A rendition of the traditional gin fizz, this smoother classic is sure to get you into the summer mood.

Ingredients:

50ml NB Gin

30ml lemon juice

10ml sugar syrup

1 tsp sugar

20ml lightly whipped egg white

Chilled soda

Method:

Add the gin, lemon juice, sugar syrup, egg white and sugar into a cocktail shaker with ice, shake vigorously and strain into a chilled highball glass filled with ice cubes. Finish by topping it up with soda water.

For those who reach for the fruitier drinks, this cocktail is a must-try.

Ingredients:

30ml NB Gin

2 tsp apricot glaze

30ml passionfruit juice

10ml lime juice

Method:

In a highball glass with a little crushed ice add the apricot glaze and gin. Stir until the apricot glaze is nearly dissolved, add the passionfruit and lime juice, stir again. Top with more crushed ice and serve with a straw.

Ingredients:

50ml NB Gin

10ml fresh lemon juice

10ml maraschino liqueur

Maraschino cherry for garnish

Method:

Add the gin, maraschino liqueur and lemon juice into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake it well. Place the maraschino cherry in the bottom of a chilled Martini glass and strain cocktail.

Kiwi Kick

For those who enjoy a classic G+T, this Kiwi Kick is the perfect holiday variation.

Ingredients:

50ml NB Gin

1 tbsp honey

Half a kiwifruit, peeled and sliced thinly.

2 slices of cucumber, thinly sliced.

10ml lemon juice

Fever-Tree Tonic water

Method:

Crush cucumber, honey and kiwi together and pour into the base of a highball glass. Add the lemon juice and gin to the glass before topping with tonic water. Finish with crushed ice.

Sea Breeze

A perfect cocktail to enjoy in the summer sun. This fruity vodka cocktail can be shaken in order to create a light foamy surface for an extra edge.

Ingredients:

115ml Cranberry Juice

35ml NB Vodka

30ml Grapefruit

Method:

Build all the ingredients into either a tall glass filled with crushed ice or a shaker. Shake if you’d rather and pour over ice. Garnish with a lime wedge and enjoy!

White Russian

This cool cocktail is served over ice and is a creamy cracker!

Ingredients:

70ml Coffee Liqueur

50ml NB Vodka

30ml Fresh Cream/Milk

Method:

Pour the coffee liqueur and vodka into a tumbler filled with ice. Float the fresh cream on top and stir slowly. Sip and enjoy.

Cosmopolitan

This cocktail will make you feel like you’ve stepped straight into an episode of Sex and The City (but with better morals).

Ingredients:

15ml Fresh Lime Juice

30ml Cranberry Juice

15ml Cointreau

45ml NB Vodka

Method:

Place all ingredients into a shaker filled with ice. Shake well then double strain into a Martini/cocktail glass. Garnish with lime or lemon. Sit back, relax and enjoy in the sun.

Moscow Mule

Also known as the Vodka Buck, this is traditionally served in a copper mug but don’t worry if you don’t have one handy, it’s just as tasty served in a glass.

Ingredients:

115ml Ginger Beer

45ml NB Vodka

5ml Lime Juice

Method

Combine the vodka and ginger beer in a copper mug (or a tall glass) filled with ice. Add the lime juice and stir gently. Garnish with a slice of lime and away you go, easy!

Appletini

Appletini

A fruity alternative to a James Bond classic and, of course, it’s shaken not stirred.

Ingredients:

45ml NB Vodka

15ml Apple Schnapps/Calvados

45ml Cointreau

Method:

Pop your Martini/cocktail glass in to chill prior to making this cocktail. Add all the ingredients into a shaker and mix gently. Pour into your chilled glass then garnish with a slice of apple or alternatively a cherry and there you have it, your own Appletini.
